Young woman named Maggie is in her bedroom, on the phone with a friend, worrying about their friend Nina who has been missing for over three months. She has a framed photo of Nina next to her bed. After hanging up, she speaks to the photo, wishing Nina would come back.
Maggie gets ready for bed, which includes reading a vampire novel. But hears a sound. She goes to a french window (the kind that is essentially a door) and opens it, then is shocked to see Nina just appear! Naked, with burning eyes and fangs!
She begs Maggie to let her in. Maggie, in shock, demands to know what happened to her. Nina promises to tell her everything, if only Maggie will invite her inside. Maggie is reluctant, but Nina keeps begging, and her eyes seem hypnotic. So too does her voice. She promises to share wonderful secrets with Maggie if only she will invite her inside.
At last, Maggie does. Nina is suddenly next to her, with those eyes boring into her mind like a drill.
